Fire/Flare Nation
-Water's natural opposite and they believe that brawns are the way to win a war. Their playstyle is mainly dominated by aggression, eliminating the assumption that Fire is too stupid to think for themselves. Because of their nature, these L'Cie are known as the Brutes of the empire. Also, they develop a predator/prey sense which poses a significant threat. Once the Fire Nation picks a target, that target will be hunted down and slaughtered. Very few has survived an encounter with the violent Fire Nation and that fact still continues. Their slogan: "Rage and fury are the road to dominance." Their Fire Fal'Cie is Brynhildr and their role is the Commando.
Water/Aqua Nation
-Fire's natural opposite and unlike its counterpart, the Water Nation uses their brains instead of brawns. Known as the Jackals, they are very smart, strategic, and clever on the battlefield. Aside from providing support to the Fire Nation, these L'Cie use deception, traps, and intimidation to lure and eliminate stronger enemies. The best part is that your threat will never know what hit them. No matter how critical the situation is for the Water Nation, they will eventually find a way to seize victory. Their slogan: "Knowledge is the key to victory." Their Water Fal'Cie is Leviathan and their role is the Ravager.
Earth/Terra Nation
-Air's natural opposite and with a "rocky" sense of nature, the Earth Nation are the guardians of the empire. They have a virtually impenetrable defense which frustrates desperate enemies to quit. They earned the title of Hunters for their acts of bravery and sacrifice. With a sensible heart, these L'Cie not only look out for themselves, they will rescue the other L'Cie from certain devastation. Aside from being indestructible shields, they can also become deadly weapons in their own way. Their nature also bore their slogan: "A good defense is a good offense." Their Earth Fal'Cie is Alexander and their role is the Sentinel.
Air/Wind Nation
-Earth's natural opposite and these L'Cie have all the characteristics of the eagle, the best sky predator in the world. The Air Nation would rain down pain and certain devastation on any type of enemy. These aerial aces also earned the title of Drones because they always assert their dominance in the air. Like Earth, they become guardians in their own way. In natural conditions, the Air Nation was born to soar and to never be shot down. Enemies who encounter the Air Nation are often confused and put at a disadvantage. They also have their slogan: "Never wound what you can't see." Their Air Fal'Cie is Bahamut and their role is the Saboteur.
Ice/Glacier Nation
-The first nation that enters the elemental kingdom of the Pulse/Sanctum L'Cie. The Ice Nation has a balance of aggression and cleverness but the two are only at decent level. They are known as the Skirmishers because they can often be unpredictable and keep enemies guessing. Just when you think you got them all figured out, these L'Cie will put you back at square one just by trying a different approach. Therefore, this is their slogan: "If at first you don't succeed, try again." Their role is the Medic and their Fal'Cie is Shiva.
Thunder/Lightning Nation
-The second nation that enters the elemental kingdom of the Pulse/Sanctum L'Cie. Bearing the title of the Engineer, these L'Cie can still be difficult to penetrate. The balance, however, also makes them unpredictable. In addition, they serve as the support nation in which they can play a nation's playstyle when needed. This bores their slogan: "There is no 'I' in team." Their Thunder Fal'Cie is Odin and their role is the Synergist. Sometimes, some people refer these L'Cie as Lightning.
Light/Bright Nation
-The third element to enter the elemental kingdom which is now accepted by the lore. The Light Nation is responsible for the protection and security of every concorder the clan makes. Known as the Prophets, every L'Cie in this nation honed their skills each day and checks in with them to make sure that each and every ally has everything they need. The Light Nation promotes peace and unity which will help form the creation of New Liberty which bears this slogan: "A friend in need is a friend indeed". Their role is the Illuminator and their Fal'Cie is Carbuncle.
Dark/Shadow Nation
-The fourth element to enter the elemental kingdom which is now accepted by the lore. Dark Nation L'Cie are very crafty and resourceful. Known as the Elites, they infiltrate other clans and neutralites to gain knowledge of their plans and to sabotage them from the inside. The Dark nation is also responsible for maintaining an undercover presence which means that they cannot be seen in contact with the L'Cie empire unless it is safe. Code names will be issued to prevent spies from learning their names. Therefore, their slogan reads: "Sometimes, the best hiding place is in plain sight". The role is the Nebulator and their Fal'Cie is Barthandelus.
